According to Yemen’s Ministry of Health and Media Union, Israel’s airstrikes on September 10, 2025 destroyed media headquarters and civilian areas in Yemen’s capital Sanaa and Al Jof provinces, killing 31 journalists and injuring dozens more.
The strike specifically targeted the office on September 26th and the newspapers in Al-Eemen in Sana’s densely populated Altarir district, leveling out the buildings and causing serious collateral damage to surrounding residential areas.
The September 26th newspaper is the official media outlet of Ansalala in Yemen. Staff reportedly prepared weekly editions when a powerful explosion struck, resulting in major losses among civilian journalists and other residents, including women and children.
Israeli forces have declared military sites targeting strikes such as camps, Ansala Public Relations Division, fuel storage facilities and other military sites, in retaliation for recent drone and missile attacks launched by Resistance Groups on Israeli territory.
In response, the Yemeni army announces an attack on Israeli targets in the Negev Desert using ballistic missiles and drones, pledging to continue resistance until the siege of Gaza is lifted and the “genocide” is over.
