Tehran – The relationship between Iran and Iraq’s cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts is improving despite regional and international crises, cultural heritage, tourism and Minister Seyad Reza Salehi Amiri.
Speaking about the threshold for holding the Iranian Iraq Tourism Roadshow to be held in Iraq cities in Basra, Baghdad and Karbala with the participation of Iranian travel agents from October 6-9, he said it was based on an agenda to make land boundaries more active and clarify tourism, tourism and health.
The Minister said: “Deepening the relationship between cultural heritage, tourism and crafts is a priority for us, and these relationships will be highlighted during the meeting between this event and the revitalization of these bonds with my counterpart.”

Regarding the future importance of the Iran-Iraq Tourism Roadshow, he said that many Iraqi tourists are currently visiting Iran for pilgrimage and tourist purposes.
He also added that Iranians traveled frequently to Iraq, adding that this two-way interaction had great developmental potential.
“In the framework of a new approach, in addition to air travel, land routes for families, pilgrimage, tourism and healthy tourists will become more active. Of course, borders such as the Charente are now active.”
Salehi Amiri added: “The early October meeting with Iraqi Tourism Minister in Baghdad will focus on increasing the flow of private vehicle tourists to Iran and Iraq and accepting Iraqi health tourists from Irakistan, Iraman, Esalbaijan, Iraman, Iraman, Iraqi medical centres.
He called the Iraqi Road Show an important opportunity to introduce Iranian potential to Iraq’s great markets, saying, “The policy of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage is to distribute tourism opportunities quite a bit across the country, rather than focusing on some specific states.”
Around 3.5 million Iraqi tourists travel to Iran every year for pilgrimage and health, and the same number of Iranians travel to Iraq primarily for pilgrimage purposes.
The increase in the number of incoming tourists to both Iran and Iraq is on the agenda, according to a previous announcement by the head of the Iran Air Travel and Tourism Services Association.
Iraq is the most important source of tourists entering Iran, and in recent years more than half of foreign tourists entering Iran have been Iraqi.
On the other hand, it is also important that the number of Iranians travelling to Iraq, especially the country’s pilgrimage destinations.
Currently, the Iran and Iraqi Tourism Ministers hope to raise the level of tourism exchange by continuing ongoing policies, such as establishing tourism roadshows, creating overland, promoting private vehicle travel for citizens of both countries, and opening new tourist routes.
