Tehran – Israel’s occupation regime is escalating atrocities against civilians in the besieged Gaza Strip.
Many Palestinian civilians have been killed by Israeli occupation forces (IOFs) as the regime strengthens terrorist and genocide attacks in Gaza City, in order to force the regime to drive away residents.
According to reporters, people’s homes are being attacked “without advance warning” to prevent IOF infantry and fighter jets from extensively demolishing the homes and preventing families from returning to their original areas north of the strip.
The Gaza government media office confirmed on Saturday that the IOF forced the expulsion of around 270,000 Palestinians from Gaza city towards the southern part of the enclave as part of a systematic policy of ethnic cleansing.
Despite the strength of the attack, more than 900,000 Palestinians remain in Gaza City and the northern region. Surprisingly, the office has focused on waves of reverse displacement, with over 22,000 people returning to the city’s original area.
Reports say Palestinian families have not found a safe route while trying to evacuate to overcrowded tent camps in southern Gaza amid in indiscriminate bombings.
Experts also note that many Palestinians are willing to put death in northern Gaza, rather than forcibly evacuating during this war of genocide.
The Gaza media office also warned that the occupation regime plans to establish a “concentration camp” as part of a forced evacuation policy aimed at emptying Gaza city and its residents’ northern areas.
More than 50 Palestinian civilians on the ground and reporters said they were just killed in the IOF fire on Saturday, with 40 of them being killed in Gaza City alone.
Among the deaths are six civilians killed in an attack on the Mashahira region and nine civilians near Alshawa Square in the Altafa district of northeastern Gaza city. In West Gaza city, four people were killed and many others were injured when the IOF bombed a home in an Alshathi refugee camp.
In central Gaza, Al Auda Hospital reported that it received more than dozens of individuals after an IOF strike in a group of civilians gathered at the Al Nusirat camp. In the south, the Nasser Medical Complex confirmed at least six casualties, all awaiting assistance near Rafa.
The Gaza province reported another 234 casualties over the past 24 hours on Saturday afternoon.
This brings the total number of casualties from US-backed Israeli genocide in Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, to 65,208 deaths and 166,271 injuries.
The number of people killed while seeking humanitarian aid now reaches 2,518, with over 18,449 injured. In the last 24 hours alone, the hospital has received four bodies and 18 injured civilians from these fatal assistance-seeking incidents.
The death toll from starvation continues to rise, with two more reported deaths bringing the total to 442, including 147 children.
This sudden rise in deaths and injuries occurs as the World Health Organization warns that hospitals in Gaza have collapsed.
