Tehran – A spokesman for the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) has announced the death of a tank commander in northern Gaza city.
A spokesman for the IOF shows the officer was killed after suffering serious injuries sustained in an ambush carried out by the armed wings of Hamas in Gaza city.
Channel 12 confirmed that 27-year-old Major Shahar Natanel Bouzaglo has been killed after the projectile was hit by a tank under the IOF’s “permission for publication” policy.
The channel said Bouzagro was the commander of the “volcanic” company of Battalion 77 of the 7th Armored Brigade IOF, and explained that he was seriously injured as a result of an RPG missile fired at a tank in Gaza city.
This parallels reports from Israeli media about two “security incidents” that took place in Gaza city, in which the Alcasam Brigade ambushed the IOF and killed another professional soldier.
Israeli media also admitted that combatants from the Shake battalion of Gibati Brigade were seriously injured during a clash with Palestinian resistance fighters in Gaza City.
Hamas’ armed wing, the Al-Kassam Brigade, has announced that it has targeted the IOF Merkaba tank, which has a high explosive mine near the Albara Mosque, south of Gaza’s Sabla district.
Israeli media reported two “security incidents” to Gaza city where Alcasam’s fighter jets ambushed IOF units.
Amidst the administration’s strict “free permission” policy and the sensitive nature of Gaza’s invasion, there was no word on the IOF’s injuries.
The Israeli Cabinet approved a plan to invade more than a month ago, despite strong disapproval reports by the chief of IOF’s general staff, Eyal Zamir, about the risks to Israeli soldiers.
Since the approval of plans to invade Gaza City, IOF has faced great challenges attempting to invade the city via the Western Zeitoun district.
Hamas’ armed wings had warned the regime that Gaza city would become a “cemetery” for occupying forces.
Israeli media said the latest death announcement has announced the number of IOF deaths whose names have risen to at least 911 since October 2023 for release.
It is widely believed that the occupation regime censors actual IOF deaths during a genocide campaign on besieged Palestinian territory.
Several research reports show that the true death toll is much higher than the officially announced in the War of Genocide, approaching two years.
