TEHRAN – The tourism industry in West Azarbaijan will be overhauled in the near future by boosting infrastructure and using the project, said Morteza Safari, head of Western Azarbaijan’s cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts division.
According to Isna, he added on September 28 that tourism flourished in light of social security and that in the past the tourism sector had not paid any attention to be added to the development discourse of West Azarbaijan.
He also said to use this possibility, tourism activists must unite and learn that the development of the tourism industry requires group and team work.
Safari said tourism is a profitable industry that requires you to run the latest knowledge and skills. For example, in rural accommodation and catering units, food quality is at a high level, but there are weaknesses in the way staff places and serves food, and their behavior is a form of disrespect for customers who are effective in reducing the number of customers and tourists.
Safari said that in order to achieve development, we must first create a growth and development mindset in our mind, and if this growth is produced, development will occur.
He has now announced that 11 hotels are under construction in the state and after the Investment Opportunity Conference a groundbreaking ceremony for five-star hotels in Mahabad and commercial and tourist facilities in Miandob were held, with investors announced that they will be building a five-star hotel in Urmia in the near future.
Safari noted that 52 projects have been implemented by the private sector and furthermore, by the office when requesting the organization of the historic monuments, restoration and restoration of access routes to tourist attractions, and restoration of historic monuments.
“We were ranked first nationally in the allocation of local funds last year, which is unique in its kind.”
He said that global documents have been prepared for Hasanru village in Nagade, which is currently one of eight villages appointed to UNESCO registration and that there is high hopes for the village to be registered.
