The historic monument of Tehran -17 has been added to the list of valuable historical and cultural monuments in Mazandaran.
According to IRIB, Davoud Abian, deputy director of Zanjan Tourism Bureau, said the cultural tourism event was held in collaboration with Zanjan Tourism Bureau and the Association of Travel and Tourism Institutions in Zanjan Province.
He said the main goal of the program is to create educational and recreational experiences for both mothers and their children so that children can become accustomed to the rich history, pure culture and tourist attractions of Zanjan.
This tour was held to strengthen family ties in the context of cultural tourism. Using places like Rakhtshooy Khaneh (washing machine) helps children to understand that history is not just in books, but also in the structures and spaces of everyday life, he added.
Abian went on to say that this visit is more than just a simple show. Visitors were able to fully understand social development by listening and looking at old tools.
He states: “Our goal is not just fun. We are investing in future generations. If today’s children are marginalized from the historical and cultural attractions of today’s state, they have no motivation to protect them in the future.”
Avians needed active education from an early age to develop sustainable tourism, and this mother-child tour was a successful example of combining education, family and tourism.
These tours of various focuses (such as food tourism and family ecotourism) will continue for the next few months to ensure tourism in Zanjan becomes an inclusive and continuous activity, he concluded.
Zanjan is one of the cities founded by King Aldasir I (180-242 CE) of Sassanid. The province will create a wider base of exploration with the wonders of Soltanyer’s architecture, the joys underground in the Qatar Cal Cave, colorful mountains and the UNESCO-registered Takto et Soleimann ruins.
In January 2020, Zanjan was designated “Filigree World City” by the World Craft Council after WCC raters visited various craft workshops, stores, exhibitions and bazaars in December 2019 over a two-day itinerary.
Filigrees are made up of fine, flexible metal thread curls, twists, or knitting, soldered at points in contact with each other on a metal foundation.
