The British Green Party has voted to apologise for Israeli forces as a terrorist group and Britain will apologise for the Balfour Declaration, Middle Eastern Eye reported on Monday.
Members voted for the allegations at the Green Party’s annual meeting in Bournemouth on Sunday, becoming party policy.
The allegations called for the Israeli military to be banned. This would either make membership in the Israeli military or even praise it as terrorist crimes under British anti-terrorist law.
Party leader Zach Polanski supported the motion in the hall of the conference, saying that doing so was a “moral order.”
The allegation also said the UK should “formally apologize to the Palestinians for the Balfour Declaration.”
Members also called for “UN peacekeeping forces in the West Bank and Gaza to ensure the safety of Palestinian residents.”
Other Green’s requests include “supporting and funding the international genocide case against Israel in the International Criminal Court and “implementing a full arms embargo on Israel.”
The Greens also “ends training of Israeli soldiers by the British forces and ends spy planes from a British base in Cyprus across Gaza.”
Earlier in the meeting, Polansky denounced the labor government in his speech at the meeting last Friday, saying that he was an active participant in the murder of Palestinians.
“We must stop selling weapons to Israel,” he said. “We must stop sharing our intelligence. We will do everything we can to stop genocide.”
The Green Leader also attacked the government’s ban on the direct action group Palestinian Action as a terrorist organization.
On Saturday, Gaza continued to rise on the agenda — with Polanski and other important figures from the party taking part in a march from the conference centre to the beach to help the government sanction Israel.
Since Polanski was elected leader last month with more than 80% of the party’s vote, 20,000 new members have joined the Green Party. It was announced on Saturday that it outweighed Lib Dems.
