Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani said Israel’s war on Gaza was nothing short of genocide and condemned Israel’s continued violations of the ceasefire agreement, Al Jazeera reported.
Speaking at the opening session of Qatar’s legislative council, the Shura Council, the emir added that the international community must protect the Palestinian people and ensure that the perpetrators of the genocide do not escape responsibility.
“It is unfortunate that the international community is still unable to enforce respect when it comes to the Palestinian tragedy,” he added.
“We reaffirm that we condemn all Israeli violations and actions in Palestine, in particular the transformation of the Gaza Strip into an uninhabitable area, the continued violation of the ceasefire, the expansion of settlements in the West Bank, and the efforts to Judaize the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
“We also affirm that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the Palestinian territory of the united Palestinian state,” the emir said.
