TEHRAN – Iran participated as the guest of honor at the 7th Antalya Tourism Fair (ATF) held in Turkey from October 22nd to 24th.
According to IRNA, the Iranian Travel Agents Association announced that ATF25 began in Antalya with the wide participation of Turkish tourism activists, and this time Iran is present as the guest of honor of the event.
On behalf of Iranian tourism activists, the Iranian Travel Agents Association is actively participating in this exhibition.
Hormatollah Rafiei, chairman of the Iranian Association of Travel Agents, said that Antalya city, as the country’s tourism center, brings in 39 percent of Turkey’s annual tourism revenue. It receives many tourists from different countries around the world, he added.
Rafiei also said that ATF25 had 800 international exhibitors participating over an area of over 25,000 square meters.
He said that 100 countries and regions from all over the world are participating and visiting this trade fair, and Iranian tourism brands are being introduced at this trade fair.
Mr. Rafiei emphasized that Antalya city and its important tourism development can serve as a suitable model for the development of regions such as Kish, Qeshm and Chabahar.
He said, “By participating in this event, we are trying to effectively convey modern tourism knowledge to Iran, while presenting Iran in a valuable way and combating Iranophobic propaganda.”
A large number of Iranian tourism companies participated in the 7th Antalya Tourism Fair, and many activists came to Antalya to visit the fair.
ATF25 has hosted a wide range of participants, from the accommodation industry, travel agencies and tour operators to technology providers. During the event, sessions titled ATF-HEALTH, ATF-TECH, ATF-SPORTS, ATF-MARKETS, ATF-HOTELS, ATF-MARKETING, and ATF-SALES were held.
The event also included social gatherings such as ATF-EARLYPARTY and ATF-AFTERPARTY, which brought together industry professionals in a more casual setting.
ATF25 is a major meeting place that showcases the potential of Turkish tourism on the international stage and helps shape the future of this sector.
