TEHRAN – Mohammad Arab, deputy director of the South Khorasan Department of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, said that about 11 Polish tourists will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rut desert from November 7 to 16.
He explained that the group, which includes nine vehicles from travel agencies in Tehran, will embark on an amazing journey in the heart of the world’s most important geological ecosystem to discover the natural and historical charms of the region, according to Miras Alia (CHTN).
He added that this trip, specifically dedicated to exploring the geological features and historical monuments of the Rut, is a unique opportunity for foreign tourists to experience the unique landscape of the Rut Desert first-hand.
Mr Arab said the Lut desert is known as one of the world’s leading geological regions due to its unique natural and geological features, especially the presence of cults and salt domes. These natural phenomena, along with historical and cultural monuments such as Neband and Desalm villages, create a unique atmosphere for tourists, he added.
He continued that these natural and historical phenomena in the Rut Desert each have their own characteristics, which attract not only domestic tourists but also foreign tourists. Offering a wonderful combination of tranquility, serenity and history, the region is always on the list of popular destinations for those interested in special travel and desert geography, he added.
