LONDON – The New Middle East project has ended. The same goes for the maps that the prime minister of the occupying entity shows off at every summit, like a prophecy from a book 3,000 years in the future.
Trump adopted that vision and presented it as an end to the longest war in 3,000 years. The grand map of this entity involved the management of people who dreamed of Kushnerian prosperity without a homeland. It is an area ruled by the entity of Israel. Trump doesn’t talk about it anymore after he’s “finished” it. He even went so far as to say that there may or may not be a Palestinian state, it makes no difference.
The New Middle East is over. It ended without achieving any of the entity’s stated multi-pronged goals. Mr. Trump’s reluctance to fail enabled him to end a 3,000-year war of aid. He also doesn’t like Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has proven a failure. On the Palestinian front, there was a complete failure in everything but destruction. Prisoners were released only by agreement. The agreement was made possible due to Palestinian resistance. The leaders, combatants, and weapons remained. There was a withdrawal. A withdrawal would mean that even Gaza and the West Bank would be outside the framework of internationally acceptable annexation. Especially since most of the world recognizes the Palestinian state.
This failure and truce reveal important truths and consequences. No matter how much it is denied or covered up, this two-year campaign has ended in real defeat. Yes, it ended with heavy material and human losses for the Resistance and the region as a whole, but the entity failed to achieve its objective. World opinion turned against this organization, and the entire Western project was threatened to be exposed. This exposure is irreversible. It will reflect the governments the entity relies on for survival and the lifelines that provide oxygen to the entity. If this exposure spreads from the public to the government level, it will inevitably weaken lobbying efforts that influence political decision-making.
There will be groups that will have to express their opposition to continued feeding and cooperation with this organization. That could mean the end of this project itself. If the project does not grow, it will be terminated. If it doesn’t grow, it shrinks. This war ended as a result of the failure to expand its capabilities. A formal declaration of victory would be crowned by international recognition of the Palestinian people’s existence and right to statehood, and by Palestine’s failure to achieve that goal.
