Al Jazeera reported on Saturday that two Palestinian children were killed in an Israeli drone strike on the town of Bani Suheira, east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, citing doctors.
Witnesses said a drone dropped a bomb on a group of civilians near al-Farabi school on Saturday morning, killing two brothers, Juma Tamer and Fadi Tamer Abu Assi.
The two boys suffered serious injuries and were taken to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis, where they were later pronounced dead, medical officials said.
Officials said the area targeted was beyond the so-called Yellow Line, marking the redeployment boundary for Israeli forces agreed under the ceasefire agreement that took effect on October 10.
Early Saturday morning, Israeli forces launched land, sea and air attacks on multiple areas of the Gaza Strip.
Medical officials reported that three Palestinians were injured in Israeli artillery and air strikes in the town of al-Kalara, northeast of Khan Yunis.
Israeli military aircraft also launched airstrikes in the Tufa area, east of Gaza City, on Saturday morning.
Additionally, attacks hit eastern areas of the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
The attack came a day after the Nasser Medical Complex announced that a Palestinian was killed by Israeli drone fire that crossed the Yellow Line in the town of Bani Suheila.
Since October 2023, Israel has killed nearly 70,000 people (mostly women and children) and injured more than 170,000 in attacks on Gaza.
The country has repeatedly violated the October ceasefire agreement, as Hamas calls on the international community to pressure Israel to abide by the deal.
