The US and Russia on Tuesday began working on the path to addressing “stimulants” of US-Russia relations and ending Russia’s war in Ukraine, the State Department said the efforts were in early stages, Reuters reported.

“We know that there is a discussion of territory and security assurances only in practical reality. These are fundamentals that lead to all sorts of arguments and become underlying. It’s just a foundation,” Waltz said after consultations with Russian officials in Riyadh.
Asked whether Russia is acceptable to maintain Ukrainian territory since the US began full-scale invasion in February 2022, Waltz said this was “discussed.”
