TEHRAN – Israel has imposed a bloc on all aid entering the Gaza Strip following the end of the first phase of the ceasefire deal on January 19th.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office issued a statement on Sunday morning confirming that Israel had blocked the intrusion of all goods into Gaza, the Middle Eastern Eye reported.
The move, coinciding with the Muslim Ramadan fasting month, comes after Hamas refused to accept an extension of the first phase of the ceasefire deal.
Israel could potentially drop a bomb on Gazan, which has probably stopped for a moment, but recent moves have openly confirmed that Gazan had been starving during nearly 16 months of war to surrender resistance fighters.
A statement from Netanyahu’s office stated, “Israel will not allow a ceasefire without releasing our hostages. If Hamas continues to reject it, there will be further consequences.”
There are specific reasons to set such a state. Most importantly, Israel feels humiliated that despite nearly 16 months of brutal war with Gaza, it has failed to defeat its resistance fighters.
Netanyahu also casts light on his lies through the blockade aid to Gaza during the war.
Speaking at the UN General Assembly held in New York on September 27, Netanyahu claimed that Israel did not halt food delivery to Gaza, saying, “What absurd. I’ll help bring 700,000 tonnes of food to Gaza, which is over 3,000 calories a day for every male, woman and child in Gaza.”
He also said, “Israel is absurdly condemned by Palestinian ICC prosecutors who were deliberately hungry in Gaza.”
With a volatile ceasefire underway, the Netanyahu administration is blocking aid to Gaza. That goes without saying, especially during the early days and weeks of the war, when they were bashing Gaza into the savage AV.
It is an open secret that Israel had starved Gazan, and it was officially always warned of the act. His then-so-called Defense Minister Joab Gallant said, “I have ordered a full siege in the Gaza Strip. There is no electricity, food, fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals.
Israel is well known for its promises, agreements and breaking international law. Currently, contrary to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, Netanyahu is seeking to extend the initial exchange phase to ensure the release of as many Israeli prisoners as possible, without offering rewards or fulfilling the agreement’s military and humanitarian duties.
In addition to feeling humiliated to defeat the resistance fighters, Netanyahu is using aid as a weapon to force Hamas officials to give in to his demands, which are contrast to what has been agreed in ceasefire agreement, to find a pretext to resume the war as it has been openly implied in the Sunday statement, and finally force the people to leave their homes in line with the proposed Trump plan for Gaza and the greater project of ethnically cleansing Palestinians.
