TEHRAN – Donald Trump has posed a threat to Hamas and the Gaza people as part of his demand to release all Israeli prisoners of war on their territory.
In a social media post Wednesday, Trump updated his warning that there is “hell to pay” if prisoners are not released.
“This is your last warning! For leadership, it’s time to leave Gaza, but you still have a chance,” Trump wrote.
“And also for the people of Gaza: a beautiful future awaits, but not if you hold hostages. If so, you are dead! Make a wise decision.”
Israeli prisoners and Palestinian prisoners will be released in three stages under the January 15 ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, which came into effect on January 19th.
The first phase of the hostage contract will exchange 33 Israeli prisoners (25 live prisoners) and 1,900 Palestinian prisoners, and it is now time to move to the second phase. In the second phase, a permanent ceasefire will also need to be established, and Israeli forces will have to withdraw completely from the Gaza Strip.
As the process proceeds, all remaining bodies of the dead hostages must also be returned in the third stage, and the reconstruction of Gaza must begin.
However, Israel is violating a ceasefire agreement with strong US support. Israel refuses to move to the second stage, and Trump’s reckless threat in this respect is surprisingly surprising.
The Trump team says the president is seeking peace! But the conspicuous thing is the exact opposite. He openly threatens to create “hell” in Gaza. His words are full of contradictions.
Gaza has already turned into hell during almost 16 months of Israel’s wild war on the enclave. What else can Trump’s military acts do that will not lead to a massive massacre in Gazan?
Trump himself admits that Gaza has been transformed into a tiled ble. What else does he want to do?
If the goal is to annihilate the resistance fighter, that cannot be achieved. Israel used very modern American weapons and jet fighters to leave no stones turned over to eradicate fighters of resistance. To make Gazan subjugate, Israel did everything unimaginable. Hospitals, schools and even shelters were not safe from savage attacks.
Just an excuse
In violation of the ceasefire agreement, Israel has already blocked international aid to Gaza, as long as the prices of bread have risen by about 100 times, according to reports.
It blocked the intrusion of aid cargo into Gaza on Sunday hours after the first phase of the ceasefire agreement expired. The blockage caused fear of hunger and more difficulties during the fasting month of Ramadan.
Based on the first phase of the armistice agreement, hundreds of trucks of aid had to be allowed to enter Gaza every day.
“Invisible strength”
At the same time as Trump’s threat, Israel’s so-called defense minister Israel Katz threatened to resume the war with Gaza with “invisible strength” if efforts to release Israeli prisoners failed.
The words Trump and Katz uttered are primarily intended to pressure Arab countries to stop opposition to the relocation of Palestinians from Gaza and to leave the coastal enclaves for Israel and the United States.
Now, Israel and Trump are upset by the anti-government of Arab leaders to rebuild Gaza. Both Israel and the United States have publicly rejected the plan.
On February 10th, Trump announced he had “taken over the Gaza Strip” and wanted to “own.”
US State Department spokesman Tammy Bruce said the plans proposed by Arab leaders for Gaza were not considered “appropriate” by the Trump administration.
“The dynamics approach now is that it has to be a new approach, that’s what President Trump said from the start, and that we have to think differently.”
The whole world, including the Arab world, Muslim nations, American and Israeli allies, and international groups have rejected the relocation plan, saying the Gaza people themselves are ready to die rather than leave Gaza.
All other options have been tested and no results are obtained.
