TEHRAN – Thirteen hotels in Tehran housed 1,100 people affected by the Israeli attack, the hotelier said at a gathering with Tehran’s Tourism Minister Reza Salehi Amiri.
Shalam Silvani, a member of the Iran Hotel AS Association, said the hotelier is in the work and is involved as a soldier in the country. Some Tehranians leave the city, but he added that the hotel staff were outside the government, Mehr’s news agency reported.
Jamushid Hamezadeh, head of the Iranian Hotel Housewives Association, said that when the war began, all hotels in the country paid all cancellations without penalties.
“This means no passengers were fined for canceling hotel reservations.”
Soltani, head of the Mazandaran Interstate Catering Units Association, also said that Mazandaran had hosted Tehranian people affected by the war. “We have provided them with the best possible conditions and we hope to get out of this crisis.”
Faribaabbasi, managing director of one of the hotel groups, said, “There are 51 units operating nationwide. There are 3,900 beds. We formed a crisis document in our central office. The staff were working. The Alborz hotel, but the hotel is not yet empty.
Kamiyar Eskandarion, director of the Iranian Hotel Masters Association, said, “Please check the booking system. In some cases, people booked the hotel before cancelling. However, because they booked through an online site, the site does not return the money.”
“Please ask tax collectors for fairness,” said Mohammadpour, a travel agency consultant.
Meanwhile, tour leader Ebrahim Pofaraj said the conditions were not satisfactory for travel agents and hoteliers. “I am the largest hotel constructor in Iran. I have decided to lower the construction trend. I am not in a hurry to build a hotel.”
