The second edition of the Tehran-group exhibition, “Fragments of a Mirror,” features visual works by more than 20 film experts, will open on April 24th at the Salvena’s Gallery in Shiraz, Fars.
The first edition was held at the Iranian Artist Forum (IAF) in Tehran in December last year. There, other people involved in the film production, including actors, directors, cinematography and other film experts, introduced their work.
It featured artworks by celebrities in Iranian cinema, including filmmakers Abbas Kiarostami, Tahmineh Milani, and Masoud Kimiai, actresses Niki Karimi and Nazanin Bayati, actors Hamid Jebeli, Mehdi Pakdel, Reza Kianian, and Farhad Aeesh, and cinematographers Mahmoud Kalari and especially Houman Behmanesh.
“Some of the new film experts who participated in this edition are presenting their first work at the exhibition,” said Mata Mohades, curator of “Fragments of the Mirror.”
“All the artists on which the work is on display are well known, and reviewing their artwork together presents new meanings and fresh perspectives on another dimension of Iranian film,” she added.
Mohaddes pointed out that the posters for the exhibition were designed by renowned graphic designer Ebrahim Haghighi, and one of his paintings will also be exhibited.
The second edition of “Fragments of a Mirror” will open on April 24th at Shiraz’s Sarvenaz Gallery, along with the artist’s presence. The public can visit the artwork until April 29th.
