Tehran chased a major explosion at Shahid Rajaye Port in southern Khormozgan province, resulting in the deaths and injuries of more than 1,200 people, and cultural figures responded to the unfortunate incident by issuing messages and expressing sadness to the Iranian state and its grieving families.
Culture and Islamic leader Seyyed Abbas Salehi expressed sympathy for the injured and family members of the victims of the tragic events and hoped for the success of the rescue team on the scene, Isna reported.
“Iran’s cultural and artistic community is in solidarity with the noble people and influenced families of Bandar Abbas. Just as in the early hours of this painful event, the sad drumming by artists at the Iranian Regional Music Festival became the background music for this nation’s lament, repeating the grief of the group to all.
“I will give Almighty God forgiveness and God’s mercy to the deceased, to endure and comfort the bereaved families, and to provide recovery and health to the wounded,” he added.
The 17th Iranian Regional Music Festival, which began on April 24th in Bandar Abbas, Hormozgan province, ended its performance on Sunday following the announcement of three days of public lament in the province.
The festival was to close on April 28th. However, after the closure of Bandar Abbas City was declared and concerns about the situation of air pollution were considered inappropriate to continue performing in the concert hall and attract audiences. Thus, the festival organizers expressed sympathy for the grieving family and concluded their performance, hoping for the health of the injured.
Mohammadreza Sabeli, secretary and spokesman for the Cinema Owners Association, expressed his sympathy for the wounded, expressing his sympathy for the deaths of some of our dear fellows in the tragedy of Shahid Rajae Port, saying, “at an extraordinary meeting of the Association’s Central Committee held on Sunday.”
“We, from the film community, film owners and film owners, are deeply mourning this great tragedy and hope that we will recover as soon as possible from this bitter incident,” he emphasized.
Theatre artists, like other segments of society, share deep sadness over the loss of their dear fellow members of the tragedy of Shahid Rajae Port, the Public Relations Bureau of the Directorate of Performing Arts, said in a message. “Out of sympathy for the incident, the comedic theatrical performance will not be performed on Monday, April 28th.”
