Tehran – Iranian short animated film “The Lovely Sky” won the Special Jue Award in the Foreign Short Film category at the 4th Annual Animation Festival in Brazil from May 8th to 14th.
The Special Jury Award was awarded to “The Lovely Sky” for its technical excellence in 2D animation and fascinating narratives, Honaronline reported.
Written and directed by Amir Mehran, this short story is produced by the Institute for Intellectual Development in Children and Young Adults.
The 14-minute animation, produced using two-dimensional techniques, follows an impatience fighter pilot who bombs the city every day. He returns to his little girl every night after completing the mission. The girl loves to fly, but the father does not realize his daughter’s dream due to the intense memory of his wife’s death. The war is approaching every day. One day, the incident changes their lives forever.
The 2022 production company The Lovely Sky has so far won the Best Animation Award at the 52nd Roshd International Education Film Festival in Tehran, best music at Canada’s 18th Vancouver Island Short Film Festival and best animation at Brazil’s Itauna International Film Festival.
It was also shown at the 63rd Zlin Film Festival in Czech Republic, the 19th World Festival animated film Varna in Bulgaria, the 16th Bueu International Short Film Festival in Spain, the 39th International Animated Film Festival, comics, games, games, games and more in Italy.
