TEHRAN – The Tehran Symphony Orchestra held a free concert at Azadi Tower on Wednesday to showcase the unity and resilience of the nation.
The performance featuring 70 musicians under the baton of the famous Iranian Maestro Nasir Haydarian was part of a citywide musical event in a series of “for Iran” campaigns.
The concert, which aimed to celebrate the solidarity and defense of the nation, included a vocal performance by Mohammadreza Safi. The program consisted of four works: Alfred Jean Baptist Remer’s “Tomorrow of Home,” Gabriel Faure’s “Pavan,” and Johann Strauss’s “Anen Polka.” and the famous Iranian work “O Iran” (“Ai Iran”) by the well-respected Rukhora Haregi.
The event was presented as an expression of national solidarity and protection following the apparent halt of hostility between Iran and Israel on Tuesday after a 12-day intense conflict.
Early on Friday, June 13, a series of terrorist attacks carried out by the Zionist regime targeted Tehran and several other Iranian cities, bringing the martial arts of many military commanders, scientists and innocent civilians.
In response to the Savagezionist attack, Iran’s Islamic Republic launched Operation True Promise 3 on Friday night, unleashing a barrage of missiles on the occupied territories.
Israel attacks target areas within Iran, which were not military facilities, resulting in the tragic loss of the lives of innocent civilians, including women and children. The incident sparked rage not only among Iran but also among international observers.
