Tehran – The Iranian documentary film “Symphony of City, Window of Friendship” was screened on Thursday in the Astrakan of Russia, with attendance by both Iranian and Russian cultural and art officials and enthusiasts.
Made by filmmakers from Gilan Province within the framework of the Sister City Agreement between the Gilan capital Rasht and Astrakan, the film highlights the general basis of cooperation, exploring the cultural, social and historical similarities and affinities between the two cities.
According to the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Astrakan, the screening ceremony was held in a speech by Ahmad Heidarian, the Iranian Consul General of Astrakan and Minister of External Affairs of Vladimir Golovkov in the Astrakan region of Russia.
In his remarks, Heidarian emphasized the importance of cultural and artistic cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation, and described the documentary as a symbol of the decisions and will of the authorities of Rasht and Astrakan to expand relations in all areas.
Heidarian and Golovkov then presented letters of thanks from the city of Rasht to the documentary’s production team and acknowledged their efforts.
“Symphony of City, Window of Friendship” was warmly welcomed by Astrakan’s audiences from various life journeys. Organizers hope that the event will serve as a turning point for cultural and artistic cooperation between the two cities, paving the way for further development of the Rasht and Astrakan relationship.
