Tehran – The “In the Name of Iran” poster exhibition features works by several generations of Iranian graphic designers and was launched on Friday at the Guya Art Gallery in Tehran.
The ongoing exhibition will showcase 35 posters created by 35 talented graphic artists, celebrating Iran’s rich heritage and identity, Mehr reported.
Notable participants include Qobad Shiva, Ebrahim Haqiqi, Hossein Khosrojerdi, Mostafa Goudarzi, Mashid Abasi, Farzad adibi, Kourosh Parsanejad, Masoud Nejabati, Ali Boustan, Kianoush Gharibpour, Arman Davodi, Maryam kuhvendi, kianoush gheribpour Hassan Musazadeh and Mohsen Dynabi.
Babak Arbabi, Mohammad Rouholamin, Mohammad Reza Doostmohammadi, Ehsan Mahdavi, Najmeh Famiil Dashti, Meysam Namdar, Shoaib Abolhassani, Maryam Parvaneh, Danial Farrohh, Saber Mohammad Farahani, Hamid Qorbanpour, Mohammad Razeqi, Atefeh Shid Moadab, Mojdeh Alipour, Leila Niroumand, Mehran Pendar and Amirhossein Mirabi will also be on display at the event.
Their works are specially created for the exhibition, embodying an artistic vision.
The exhibition is dedicated to three legendary late figures in Iranian graphic design: Morteza Momayes, Mostafa Asadarahi, and each of them deeply influenced the development and academic heritage of Iranian graphic arts, expressing their deep love for their homeland.

“After consulting with a well-known graphic artist, I compiled a list of multi-generational designers and invited them to create works based on a specific theme. Posters are visual media and are easy to communicate the message effectively for everyone, so following the artworks collection, I chose 35 posters from 35 designers.
The exhibition title “In the Name of Iran” was chosen to evoke the pride of the people. The calligraphy in the title was entrusted to famous contemporary artist Sedakato Jabbari.
“The exhibition is dedicated to the memories of three legendary Iranian graphic artists, Morteza Momayes, Mostafa Asadarahi and Masaud Sepert. He was a passionate patriot who created lasting Iranian artwork, beyond the influence of graphic design and academic mentoring.
“The exhibition “in the name of Iran” emphasizes Iran’s unity, strength and grandeur, highlights the continuing capabilities of modern Iran’s art, and tells the story of national unity and identity,” he concluded.
