TEHRAN – Saeed Mozaffari, a prominent Iranian voice actor and an iconic voice in the Iranian dubbing industry, passed away on Tuesday at Tehran’s Erfan Hospital after a long battle with respiratory problems. He was 83 years old.
Mozaffari’s extensive career as a voice actor spanned over 50 years, during which time he lent his voice to numerous acclaimed films and series.
Mozaffari began his voice-over career around 1962 with his first bit role in the film Miracle, starring Roger Moore.
Some of his notable work includes providing the Persian voice for Clint Eastwood in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly and A Fistful of Dollars, and the voice of Damien Thomas as Zaid in Massage. He also did voice-over work for series such as “Far From Home,” “The Walking Dead,” and “Vikings.”
Additionally, Mozaffari served as the primary voice for Ryan O’Neal and voiced many of the roles originally played by Pierce Brosnan, Matthew McConaughey, Brad Pitt, and Jackie Chan.
His youthful and captivating voice left an indelible mark on Iranian dubbing history.
