TEHRAN – Three Iranian cartoonists were honored at the 20th Caratinga International Humor Exhibition in Brazil, which concluded on Sunday.
Abbas Nasser won second place in the cartoon category, and Hamid Souf received an honorable mention in this category. Ari Lastrow won third place in the comics category.
The 20th Karatinga International Humor Exhibition 2025 emphasized hopes and achievements under the theme of “Dreams and Challenges”. The event celebrated creativity and resilience through humor and emphasized the interconnectedness of dreams and challenges in human life. Dreams and obstacles are essential to human growth, and it takes resilience, grit, and adaptability to turn challenges into opportunities.
The event, organized by the Caratinga Cultural Station with support from the Caratinga City Hall, was held in four categories: Cartoons, Cartoons, Caricatures and Tribute Caricatures, each of which was limited to one entry.
