TEHRAN – A leading manufacturer in the stationery field said that high quality Iranian-made stationery is guaranteed to consumers. He stressed that Iranian viewers, like other viewers, tend to prefer domestic products as long as they are of good quality.
Comica Studio, part of Roya Pardazan-e Nesl-e Ayandeh (Future Generation Dreamers Institute), is a talented and creative team dedicated to creating new worlds on paper. One of the company’s main products is the comic strip series “Elya’s World.” The series is released almost monthly to captivate teenage audiences with superhero stories rooted in indigenous culture.
Mohammad Mehdi Jalalian, director of the institute, emphasized the use of Iranian stationery by children and teenagers. “All of our products are 100 percent domestically produced. Fortunately, the popularity of Iranian stationery has increased significantly over the years.”
“Our studio focuses on creating indigenous Iranian characters. In addition to producing comic books, we have also developed Iranian characters. One of our most popular characters, Elijah, was recognized as the best-selling teen book in recent years by the Iranian House of Books and Literature,” he said.
“We have utilized this character to develop stationery-related products such as notebooks, backpacks, and pencil cases, which have been very well received.”
“Our main goal is to establish a comprehensive merchandising cycle for this character, especially in the field of stationery, as stationery is an essential consumable for children and adolescents,” Jalarian added.
Reflecting on the progress since launching the first product in 2019, Jalarian said: “Many believed that Iranian characters could not achieve widespread popularity or long-term success. However, our experience has proven otherwise. Public enthusiasm for the area has grown year on year, highlighting the importance of producing high quality indigenous products.”
“Iranian audiences, like any other audience, prefer to consume local products as long as they meet high quality standards. They are interested in visually appealing, well-produced content that fits their culture,” he said.
“As we have seen in recent years, if you can produce high-quality products, all segments of society will accept them. Undoubtedly, we need to increase the number of quality-oriented Iranian manufacturers to meet the growing market demand,” he concluded.
