TEHRAN – An adaptation of French playwright Victor Heim’s play “La Valse du Hasard” (“La Valse du Hasard”) is scheduled to be performed at the Tehran City Theater Complex on Tuesday.
The play, directed by Parisa Mokhtadi, is based on Asghar Nouri’s translation.
Farzaneh Qassemzadeh and Alires Akhawan are the main cast of the play, which will be on stage until November 28th.
In “Waltz of Chance,” a woman risks eternal life in purgatory. She recounts what she considers to be important events, but it is impossible to understand why she would be judged for better or for worse by God’s intermediary angels. The angel may be applying psychoanalytic principles to suggest that nothing in human chatter is truly unimportant.
The story deals with themes such as fate, judgment, and the subconscious mind, but the reason for her evaluation remains vague. Her story reveals her inner conflicts and perceptions, but the true criteria of her fate remain unknown. Ultimately, this story reflects the complexity of human existence and the mysterious nature of God’s judgment, emphasizing that what seems trivial can have deep meaning.
