TEHRAN – A film concert of Hans Zimmer’s musical works will be held on November 15 and 18 at the Espinas Palace Hotel in Tehran.
Performed by the Dallis Symphony Orchestra and choir, this film concert features a selection of memorable soundtracks composed by world-renowned German film composer and music producer Hans Zimmer. Honaronline reports that there will be two performances each night at 7pm and 10pm.
Over two nights, this performance brings to life some of Zimmer’s greatest moments of musical inspiration. The Dallis Symphony Orchestra will perform highlights of Zimmer’s music, including the heroic adventures of Pirates of the Caribbean, the wild brilliance of The Lion King, and the parallel realities of Inception.
The concert repertoire includes highlights from major film soundtracks such as Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar,” “The Dark Knight Trilogy” and “Inception.” Ridley Scott’s “Gladiator”. “The Da Vinci Code” and “Angels and Demons” by Ron Howard. Guy Ritchie’s “Sherlock Holmes,” Gore Verbinski and Rob Marshall’s “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” and “On Stranger Tides,” Edward Zwick’s “The Last Samurai,” and Joseph Kosinski’s “Rush (Formula 1).”
All performances will be accompanied by the screening of selected scenes and sequences from these films.
Zimmer is arguably the most successful film composer of his generation and the natural successor to the godfather of the genre, John Williams.
Throughout his career, in which he has scored over 150 films and become Hollywood’s go-to composer, Zimmer has constantly reinvented himself and changed the way we think about film music, incorporating unusual instruments, electronic elements, and innovative sound design into the sonic splendor of a symphony orchestra.
Hans Zimmer, 68, has won numerous awards, including two Academy Awards, one BAFTA, three Golden Globes, five Grammy Awards, and has been nominated for seven Emmy Awards.
Zimmer spent the early part of his career in England before moving to the United States. He is the director of film music for DreamWorks Pictures and DreamWorks Animation Studios, and collaborates with other composers through the company he founded, Remote Control Productions (formerly known as Media Ventures). His studio in Santa Monica, California, is equipped with extensive computer equipment and keyboards, allowing him to rapidly create demo versions of film scores.
Zimmer has worked with Christopher Nolan on six films, starting with Batman Begins (2005). He has also worked on multiple projects with directors such as Ridley Scott, Ron Howard, Gore Verbinski, Michael Bay, Guy Ritchie, Denis Villeneuve, and Tony Scott.
