Tehran’s Tehran -Ilamic Theater will play a reading performance on Monday, a playwright and writer Neil Simon’s play “Rumors”.
This performance is a cast consisting of Ali Hashemi, Fatima Akbalda, Sepide Plangi, and Ethan Jarari, and will be supervised by Yesef Heidarirad.
“Rumors” is a comedy centered on Charlie Block, the deputy mayor of New York, and his wife, Mya’s miserable anniversary party. Chaos finds that the guest has arrived and the Mailer is missing, and discovers Charlie that he had accidentally shot his ears under the influence of the barium. Ken Goman and his wife, Chris, is the first character on the scene, and Ken claims that Chris should not let Charlie’s doctor about the incident.
When a couple works on the situation, more friends, such as Lenny and Claire Gantz, arrive. Lenny and Claire Gantz are affected by their own misfortune, just caught in a car accident.
If Lenny and Claire suspect affair, rumors will swirl among guests about the relationship between Charlie and Myra. When Ken tries to contain the situation, more characters, such as Arny, Cookie Kusak, and controversial Glen and Cathy Cooper, will be included.
In the escalating turmoil, Ken accidentally discharges the gun while trying to dispose of it, increasing the absurdity in the evening.
After dinner, the truth about Charlie’s status and rumors is ultimately revealed to all guests. A police officer Welchi arrives to investigate Lenny’s car accident and leads to a desperate discussion of how to handle their more unstable situations among guests.
They claimed that they were playing music so loud to hear the gunshot, and decided to maintain a facade that everything would work. If there are many comedy misunderstandings, the character is engaged in a series of ridiculous playful and playful attitudes and convinces that there is nothing.
When Welch demands Charlie, the situation escalates and Renny encourages them to create an absurd story to cover their friends.
Just as guests have escaped scrutiny, they hear that Mya is calling from below and raising the comedy and tension of the scenario. Ultimately, “rumors” capture the theme of friendship, deception, and the absurdity of life, and introduce Simon’s trademark and humor when the characters are increasingly navigating on a complicated night.
