TEHR – The 43rd FAJR Film Festival concluded on Monday night at the Mirado Tower Conference Centre in Tehran, and presented the Crystal Simoog Award to recipients of various sections.
At the closing ceremony of the most important film event in Iran, major awards from the competition section were distributed to seven films, with “Moses the Karimra: Dawn” receiving most of the technical awards, Honaronlein reported .
Crystal Simorgh from Best Film was awarded to Seyed Maziar Hashemi for his production “Call Me Ziba”.
After receiving the Simoog, Hashemi paid tribute to the late film producer Ali Moarem and dedicated the award to all the cast and crew members of the film, especially the director Lasol Sadrameli.

Hamid Zargarnezhad won Crystal Simou for Best Director of his film “North by Southwest”, while Mahmoud Karimi was awarded Crystal Simou for Best First Time Film Director of “People’s Children”.
Karimi also received Crystal Simoug for the best script along with his wife Farmohammadi for “people’s children.”
The best first film, Crystal Simmoug, was awarded to Said Crani for his production “Raha”, and the special ju-decision award directed Reza Jamari “Childless Village”.
The two Crystal Simoog Awards for Best National Film were awarded to Said Sadi for producing his productions, “God of War” and “The Guardian of the Field.”
Mohammad Amin Hamedani and Mohammad Kheirandish won Crystal Simorgh with the best animation in the co-production “Dolphin Boy 2”.
The animation also won Crystal Simoog to select the best film audience, along with the film “Followers,” produced by Arash Zeinal Kiri.
The best-top actress Crystal Simoog was awarded to Faribanadeli for her role in “Setare’s Husband.”
Nadeli said: “Twenty years later, I finally saw the results of all my hard work. When I first received the printed script, I was told that Simoog fell from between the pages, from producer Ali Ouji. I was told to be careful not to. Now that I have it, I will cherish it and strive to follow the best path forward.”
Pointing to other candidates, Mastaneh Mohajer, one of the ju umpires, said: “There were three young actresses in this category, and I also want to praise Merila Zaray for her love and cheering for all the winners tonight.”
Zaray was a candidate for the best major actress category to play the role of Josh Bed, the mother of the Prophet Moses in the film Moses the Karimra: Dawn.
Best lead actor Crystal Simoog was awarded Mostafa Zamani for his performance in “North by Southwest.”
“If Hassan Posirage had been competing, no one else would have won this award,” Zamani said after receiving the statue.
He was referring to Oktay Baraheni’s film “The Old Bachelor,” which was featured in the festival’s special screening section.
“We would like to share this award with Hassan Posirage and hope it will be recognized as a Simoog Award,” Zamani pointed out.
One of the ju umpires, Ezzatollah Zarghami, praised the late director, Farajollah Salahshoor, who discovered Mostafa Zamani for the role of the Prophet Joseph, his first role in cinemas and television. “Zamani is now gaining international recognition,” he said.
The 2008 historic drama series “The Prophet Joseph” has been dubbed into several languages, including English, Arabic, Urdu, and Turkish. It is sometimes considered the most viewed Iranian television series in the world.
For her role in “1968,” the best supporting actress Crystal Simoog was presented to Linda Kiani.

The 43rd FAJR Film Festival was held from January 31st to February 10th. The film lineup in the competition section includes 33 films, with 13 being director’s debut. Additionally, four animated films have been selected in special competitive categories.
