TEHRAN – Professor Nimet Yildirim, head of the Department of Persian Language and Literature at Ataturk University in Erzurum, Turkey, issued a message of solidarity with the Iranian people in the wake of the recent US and Israeli aggression and the martyrdom of the leader of the Islamic Revolution.
In a message, a prominent Turkish scholar expressed his deep condolences to the martyrs, describing them as “eternal stars shining in the sky of faith and freedom,” ISNA reported on Monday.
“Today, our beloved Iran remembers the stars who shine in the firmament of dignity and who, through their martyrdom, lit an eternal light at the heart of history,” Yildirim wrote. He paid tribute to the late leader and his companions, especially mentioning the daughter-in-law of the leader, Gholam Ali Haddad Adel, who was martyred along with Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
He expressed sympathy for the Iranian people, the Muslim community, and all those seeking justice, and emphasized the immortality of those who make sacrifices for love and truth.
Yildirim stressed that Turkish scholars of Persian language and literature also share this sadness. “This painful loss has left a deep scar on the hearts of the Iranian people and all those who love the truth. As professors of Persian literature, we consider ourselves your partners in your grief,” the message read.
The Turkish scholar concluded his message by praying for the highest spiritual status of the martyrs and for the patience of their families.
Islamic revolutionary leader Ayatollah Khamenei was martyred in a coordinated attack by the Zionist regime and the United States on Sunday morning. A deadly attack on Shajare Tayyebah Primary School, a girls’ school in southern Iran in the city of Minab in Hormozgan province, left 168 children martyred and 95 injured.
In response, Operation “Promise of Truth 4” begins and continues until the enemy is defeated.
